I have spent quite a bit of time with my grandkids this week. Too fun. They remind us what a wonderful gift this world is, what joys the simple things of life can be, and how important it is to just slow down and smell the roses, or stinky weeds if that is what happens to be what's handy. The most wonderful word this week have been Nanny or Granny Nanny, "I love you" or "I want to snuggle you". I will just forget that they also like to tell me when I make them very angry or mad, you know, when I have the nerve to say, "No". Two of the kids are big enough now that they can wrap their arms around me, at least they can try and I can dream that they reach.
These amazing little spirits are so strong, have to struggle so hard to learn Heavenly Father's will and learn embrace it. They have so many challenges ahead of them, but just being in their presence is assuring that they were sent here now because they have proven themselves. What a privilege for their parents to have been chosen to raise them up in this day and age. What a blessing to have the gospel to map out the path to enjoy eternity as families.
