Primary is a Bit of Heaven On Earth!

OK, I will admit that I love having a cell phone that will take pictures. It has no flash or any of the fancy stuff and it just happens to be included with a model that has a keyboard. I needed that to text the kids, who are so much faster than I am at it.

Any way I looked down at the chair next to me in Sacrament meeting and saw Gabriel coloring away. It may not be impressive to most, but it sure is to this pleased grandma! He colored all of the little curving trim on Santa's sleigh and hardly went out of the lines the whole time! Even a couple of months ago he wouldn't have made it more than a couple of inches. Just didn't have the patience or attention span. He works hard at school and the staff there is working hard to help him and the others who are trying to catch up and stay up. Love and appreciate those people!

As church was ending, Mariah whispered down the he would be giving a talk. The glove on the first picture was for his talk.

Now, I am of the opinion that Primary is where the essence of the Gospel on its purest form is found. A "Little Bit of Heaven on Earth" if you will.

So my question is: If this little Ant Hill is a little bit of Heaven, does that mean that Heaven is an Ant Hill? Just wondering!

I've always loved primary. As an adult called to serve in primary I've experienced numerous spiritual moments that are dear to my heart. Teaching these little ones of the Savior and his love for them, seeing of their faith and desire to learn...it all humbles me and reminds me how I should be more like these little ones.

I was so proud of how well he pulled himself together for that talk. It have been one of THOSE mornings, and I was worried. He did great! After church he informed me that he was good the whole time.
