I love church. Going with the "youngsters is a special treat. Their view of life, the world and the gospel can be so fresh. I believe I have heard this before, but it was all new listening to Jordan today.
He talked about the three R's of making a decision. Good things for each of us to think about regularly.
- Right -- We all have have the right to make decisions. How many times have we heard this from our children . . . or (gulp) said it to our parents? We do have that right. Of course we grow into and earn that right as we mature (hopefully). And then . . . . . . .
- Responsibility -- We have the responsibility to make decisions, hopefully good ones. We have the responsibility to remember that our decisions will (not might) effect others as well. We have the responsibility to make these decisions keeping in mind our future and where we should be directing our path. And then . . . . .
- Results -- We must be prepared to face and live with the consequences of our decisions. As these results come to fruition, we again need to decide what to do.
Good results, grow and build upon it? Get comfortable and start coasting?
Undesirable results, learn from and become stronger and more determined to go forward and improve? Give up?
Decision making never ends and aren't we blessed to have the freedom and free agency to have this opportunity?
So thanks Jordan, for giving me a lot to think about!

You know, these are all things I've learned since childhood...but I've never seen it put into the 3 R's. So that was pretty cool! Thanks for sharing.
I had a lovely day at church yesterday as well. I am so grateful that we have Sunday's set aside to refresh our spirits and minds, and to help us refocus for the coming week. Love it!
