Lines of Angels

Last week I dug out all of the Christmas movies I could find quickly, lined them up on one shelf and got to sewing. This morning I got up after sewing until 4:30 (yippee . . got two whole hours of sleep) and sat down to sew up the edges of some quilts our RS tied for the church Humanitarian Program. I figured it was OK since it was a service . . . right? . . . or do I need to got talk to the bishop?!?!?! I want to deliver today, to the friend that asked me to help with them.

I put in my video of Preacher's Wife. I love that movie. In it Dudley (the handsome Denzel Washington) tells Henry (the preacher),that he is an angel sent to help him, as an answer to prayers asking for help. When questioned, he tells Henry that there are lines of angels just waiting to help all of us. I didn't think much about that statement the first time it is in the movie.

At the end of the movie, Henry is giving the Christmas morning sermon. He tells the congregation that when times are hard, "We have faith and hope". After repeating this a few times and the congregation getting into it, he told them that, "There are many angels, lined up, just waiting to help each of us".

The image that came into my mind was not that of Heavenly Hosts. It was of the many friends, family and even strangers that have been there in my time of need over the years. I have such a feeling of gratitude . I know that some of these angels read this blog from time to time. I hope they know that I do appreciate the times that they have been the Savior's hands and blessed my life and the lives of others.

Once again, I am so glad that our "holiday season" is ushered in by Thanksgiving and the reminder to us to feel gratitude for our many blessings.

I love that the holidays are brought in by Thanksgiving! You know in these recent weeks every time I think about little angels, I cry.

I totally agree! I think it is perfect that we start with Thanksgiving!
And I believe there are angles lined up too, on each side of the veil!
