What a morning the Maskeys and Huishes have had! Mariah woke up at 2:oo am and thought, "Oh, that hurt!" After timing them a couple of hours she and Stephen got up, tried to text me, then called and the races bagan!
Baby Maskey was born at 8:33 a.m. weighing in at 8 lbs. 3 oz. and measuring 20". His hair is about the color that Mariah's was when he was born, very thin light eye brows and surprisingly pink complexion. There is the slight cleft in his little chin . His eye may be shaped like Stephen's, the upper lip definitely is Stephen's. So Mariah has finally got her mark on one of their kids!
Each time one of these little angels comes into our family, I am so overwhelmed with what an absolute miracle has occured.
When Gabriel was born, I didn't feell it so much at first. As my feelings grew, I realized that I just couldn't comprehend that this little being had come from my very own daughter. It just didn't sink in at first. Then Arianna came along and it seemed more real. By the time Garrett joined the family, I had a good sense of what a change each spirit created in our family, added upon, one personality at a time. Then Tatianna came, once again, someone so different and unique ... so needed by our family.
Now our new little nameless stranger has come to our family. When I reached out to pick him up, I was so humbled by his tiny, but great presence. These children are such a great blessing to our lives. So valiant to be coming on the earth at this time, to parents who love them and willngly shoulder the challenges before them, to raise their children up to be the strong, faithful members in God's kingdom.
Jon just came and sat beside me for a few minutes and then said, "I admire our kids, having babies right now". He said, yes, when I asked him if it was because of what was going on in the world. I reminded him that our parents felt the same way 30 years ago. He just smiled, I love his smile when we have these quiet little moments, they say so much.
I am so grateful.

Congratulations Grandma. He is beautiful!
Congrats Granny Nanny, and Aunt Mariah and Uncle Stephen. He looks precious! (It feels so empty to not be expecting right along side Mariah...but for now I will have to be content to be an aunt of a beautiful new nephew! I'm getting quite the collection of nephews!!!) The girls are very anxious to come see the baby...we are just waiting for Rob to get home from class. New babies are indeed a miracle and I love to see them grow up and the joy and differences that they bring to each family.
I am glad that everything went well for her! I am happy to here that he is healthy and doing great.
Sharron, Mom has had a banner night and day.
YEA! I'm so glad he is finally here and all went well. What a wonderful thing getting to welcome a new spirit into your family. He is beautiful by the way. I can't wait to hear what they named him. I'm so thankful to read your thoughts and feelings right now...I really needed taht. Give Baby "G" a hug and tell momma we love her. Congratulations Grandma. We still want to come work on that project but this week has been crazy we are thinking next week (Thursday) or the one after. I don't know what your schedule is with the little one her now.
