So today I had Garrett here for lunch. How to get him to eat the veggies I wanted to use up . . . . . He was watching Peter Pan . . . "Garrett, how would you like to eat Indian Chief vegetables?" Yeah Nanny! A little salsa and down the hatch it went. The quesadia were no problem. Kiwi fruit was next on the menu . . . "How would you like to Princess Tiger Lilly's favorite fruit?" First bite, a little hesitancy . . . See the little black spots? They are extra good for your muscles so you won't be puny . ." "Awright!"

After he had eaten most of the kiwi, he almost demanded that I tell him what the real name of the fruit was. I told him and he admitted that he like them. Phew!
Next thing I knew the little stinker had gotten into my Princess Tiger Lilly fruit on the table and wiped it out, too.
After school, Gabriel was over and hungry, so out came my bag of tricks. He was definitely a little doubtful, but caved in when I told him that Garrett loved it.
So thanks Mom, for teaching me to be a little silly, for making life a little easier and more fun!

Alternate names for food is always great! We got some of our Kiwi's back last night....so that will be our after dinner treat tonight! I'm excited. :)
You have Tati today...so keep an eye out for your Oranges, melons, and any uncooked veggies. lol. Arianna has been pretty hungry lately too. I did feed them last night, but we didn't have much, so we all went to bed a bit on the hungry side. Enjoy!
What a good idea - I'm so not that clever!
What a cute story! Those were very clever names you came up with--taking mental note for my turn at grandmothering!
