I have finished staining the redwood, again. It was just too orange and not a rich enough color so I got out the stain and did it all over again. In a way it was good. It gave me time to draw out the plans, again, and I realized that I needed two more long pieces and that I wouldn't like the redwood attached directly to the antique window.
So I adjusted, the window will "be suspended" in the middle of the trellis, Jon thinks the new idea will still be structurally sound, and I have the parts. Should I warn him that he, of course, will get snookered into helping with this little project when I can't drill, measure or screw anything straight? Naw ! Will he be surprised ? Naw!
To make it up to him, I guess I should get the pegboard up in the shed . . for which I also have all the parts. I will get right to that as soon as Gabriel and I get finished watching George of the Jungle . . . while his bird feeder dries, next to Garrett's bird feeder, which is already dry and waiting for it's coat of varnish. Why did I start let them this week . . . oh yeah, Garrett saw them and got so excited. He didn't whine to make his, so I rewarded him. Only three more to go!!
