If memory serves me, the next step was take out the old straw broom, brush off the walls, fill the pan and start slapping that oozy, gooey, drippy stuff all over the wall and call it good.
In comes in HGTV or where ever it started. Maybe it was from the 60's and all the "antiquing" that went on. Remember all the horrible things that we all did? Come on, you know you tried it . . . you can't fool me!
So here is my current dilemma, what to do, what to do.
| THE VARIOUS CHOICES IN ARTIFICIAL LIGHT |
| THE SAME CHOICES IN EARLY DAYLIGHT |
I scrubbed the wall good to get the flaking stuff off while I looked as the day passed and sun moved to give myself time.
Jon & I are both favoring the little patch at the bottom right. It is the base coat, cut in half with pure white and then the darker color worked into it while the first color was still wet. YIKES! Wish me luck, I absolutely cannot buy any more paint. . . . gotta watch myself, huh?
BTW If someone tells you that the Dutch Boy paint at Wally-World works just fine . . ignore them and run the other way as fast as you can!! It is awful. In the wonderful world of color, you get what you pay for!! AAARRRGGGHHH!
I am going for an "Old World" look, NOT Tuscan . . . been over used and not into the vineyards!

Hey, if you end up with enough yellow left over to make a nice soft/light yellow for our baby room...let me know!!!
In the mean time...good luck with all the mixing and texturing and just think of how nice it will all be when it's done! :)
