WHEW!

Pls tell I didn't just say that . . .
OK, bear with me now.  I have been accused of being a "control freak" about "some things" by someone who happens to take way too much pride in being anal retentive about "most things".  Don't you just love it when one of your kids slips and realizes it just as that last word slips past their lips.  I love and live for those moments.

Well, I am a control freak about some things, even with my husband.  I came into the family room to a college football game. . . . .  I thought.  I realized that half of the helmets on the field had cardinals on them.  I am just fine with college sports, but years ago, I put my foot down when it came to pro sports.

I had a moment of panic, I didn't want to be a nag, but I just really don't want anything to do with pro sports or what so many of them represent, act like, their standards (or lack of them) in my home.  I hated the thought of getting surly over a football game, especially after the night we had.  (Garrett was up at about 3:00 am and it went down hill from there) He has been such a big help getting some holes dug for some bushes.  Not an easy task when the house foundation is running all over into the yard in some places and it had just been such a pleasant day in general.

Then I realized that Louisville's mascot was that cute little bird too.  Whew!  My old feller still has some standards!  Peace can reign upon the land . . . .
