We tend to just open the door and throw stuff in there and out of the rest of the house when we are in a hurry or tired. The shelves are only half full, so it is really dumb to have all that stuff in the middle of the floor. Which of course makes it even harder to get to the shelves to put stuff away, .... on and on it goes!
My goal out there is to be able to park a car in it before summer hits and getting a door opener, see how much better my priorities are getting already?
Now, time to back the truck up to the door and start tossing. First time I did this I couldn't get Jon to help me. When he saw stuff flying, literally, into the back of the truck, he came on the run. It was so funny! He was wearing an unbuttoned flannel shirt over his t-shirt that was flying behind him, he was running so fast. We ended up having lots of laughs at what had been accumulating in that one. We were up in Holbrook and had a really big garage for parking two cars, OK, he really just wanted to work on stuff out of the dirt and wind. It also had room for my wood working toys. Great until it got too full to work in!
This time, I will just "surprise" him .... hee hee .... sh-h-h-h-h ;-) No one tell!
This is what used to be the laundry closet at the side of my kitchen. I need to put up the rest of the border and patch holes where I removed electrical stuff in the ceiling and wall.

looks great!! Our garage is very much the same way. Stuffed full of baby clothes old baby toys and a couch and some food storage and everything else you can imagine. We need to get some shelves up and get it organized. It is supposed to be a two car garage, but one fits quite snuggly with all that stuff in there.
There you go bragging! You can actually get a car in your garage. Funny thing, mine has a ton of baby clothes, swings, cradle, toys. What's wrong with this picture? They will come in handy again in just a few weeks!
One way that helps me to stay organized is to creat a "home" for everything. That way you won't just toss things in there because you already know where it should go. It works inside too. No junk drawer. everything has a place and if there's no room, weed out.
