Can you believe this bird? Jon came in and told me to come out quick. the mate to this one was on top of our cooler eating a little lunch. I am so glad that servicing the cooler is not in my job description, at least most of the time ... gross! It took off when I came back out with the camera, so I took a pic of this one. Now if you were me, would you worry about your two little dogs who both weigh under ten lbs. ?
I count little black noses every time I walk into the house now. I know they are "just dogs" but they are such good company and still have yet to argue with me about anything. Some people think I am a little disrespectful when I say this, but dogs can teach us a lot about unconditional love and these two little dumb mutts are no exception. Hopefully, the fake owl with the bobble head works!

YES WORRY! Those things will carry you little dogs away and eat them for lunch. Amanda, John and I were talking about this and he agreed. Keep them close. He might be able to tell you what to do to get rid of them without getting into trouble with the law. I will have him check this out for you. Keep your precious dogs close to you.
oops, "YOUR" little dogs away! It's late and I need to go to bed. It's say's I posted at 11pm but that's exactly one hour off. It's midnight! So night night..lol
So we drive around Tucson ALL DAY LONG, and lo and behold you have the exact bird we are trying to trap there in your backyard!! Ironic wouldn't you think?
A few tips
1) They like to hunt at sun up. Don't let your meals with paws out by themselves during that time.
2) They hunt a bit before dark as well. Most all otehr times they are out soaring and not hunting, but never be to careful.
The owl statue may work, but a peregrine statue would would even better.
Good luck!!
