Miss me? I missed checking in on everyone and blabbing like I usually do. I had so many neat things that made me think about a lot of good stuff, but alas, I had no computer or internet. So here is some of what I did this last week.
First I said good-bye to home. Over the deserts and desert mountains.
Next time you fly, think about this. How does this desert go from this to . . . .
this . . . . .
and then to this . . . ? It all happens so quickly . . . oh wait, it's been 44 years since I first saw these views!
On to Phoenix and the next terminal building, find my gate, all while eating my breakfast burrito. Then find the nearest rest room to brush my teeth, comb my hair and who knows what else I needed, don't remember . . . don't want to remember.
Then I flew to San Diego. Go outside so that I have to be inspected again. Misplace the old driver's license . . . . buy a stupid bottle of water because I had to get rid of my water from the last terminal to go through the check point and they just dare you to find a water fountain! Sheeee!
Get comfortable just so they can tell you that they were just kidding . . . go way back to a different gate, just before it's time to board.
And just who do those suspicious looking bags with the bottle containing over 3 oz. of liquid belong to??
THEN I flew to Chico on a . . . . . large grasshopper. The flight attendant agreed with me that's what it was and yes, it is more fun. She was obviously thinner than I am and would have fit into that little itty bitty seat more easily than I did. Thank goodness I've kept off that weight or I would never have fit!
I saw some pretty neat stuff from the air. It has been a long time since I have flown (4 years and only once then) so it was almost all new again.
Then I hopped into Sarah's cute little puddle jumper (car) and ran up the mountain to Camp Lassen and surprised Sarah. I found out what she had been, "Doing in the Summer Time". Pretty interesting! Next post, tomorrow!
