Today I had the most wonderful experience while at the polls, after I got past the people outside "the" line.

I always get a little emotional when I step up to the little semi-booth. Last time I had Gabriel with me and he helped fill in the bubbles. It was so fulfilling watching him work so carefully and confirm each one before he filled it in, all the way to the lines without going out of them. he loved getting his "I Voted" sticker.

Today, I got to share this time with a "first- time Voter".   I had the hardest time controlling my emotions while I filled in my ballot.    Yes, I can big a big old blubberer but I'm glad that I still feel this way while exercising my voting privilege. 

To the mystery young man who was voting for the first time:  I was so proud to be there with you and to share this experience on this very important election day!
