Garrett has "enjoyed" a very solo overnighter at Nanny's house the last few days. I got a call and picked him up at pre-school on Monday morning. Poor little guy looked so pathetic when I got there. I called Mariah and told her that I would take her home and she could check on him there to protect Lynneah. His temp got up to 103.4. Not just a little scary for me . . been there, done that, and it still shakes me up a little. I spent a lot of time snuggling and sweating the little guy.
Jon was home so when he needed a break, he would lay down and snuggle Garrett. he was ready to go to bed so he got pummeled that night while I worked a little longer and then got a good night's sleep to solo the next day. Thanks Sir, it was a life saver the next day!!
Today, he has officially been fever free for 24 hours. I have been a little worried about getting plenty of rest to help me resist what he has been coughing and sneezing all over me, but no way Jose, today. I was getting ready to take him home tonight when he looked up with big eyes (which is pretty hard with his little asian eyes :-/ ) and said, "but I want an overnighter". After big old promises that he would go right to sleep, as he did his Tigger thing, I caved.
He did lay down, and as far as I can see, hasn't moved a muscle. I do have to do a few things before crashing, but oh boy "own bed", here I come!!!
Now if we did manage to nip this nasty old bug in the bud . . . . oh I do hope so!!

Good luck! I hope you all sleep well. When Tati ran her fever of 103 for five days it was just terrible. And when it spiked to 105 and we rushed her to the ER we were just terrified. Tati is a little energizer battery, so to see her absolutely devoid of energy or appetite was scary. I'm glad Garrett is feeling better so soon!
