Just Randomness . . . . .

Today was a very random day, from beginning to end . . .  or almost end.  I probably have another 3 - 4 hours.

Jon went out first thing after breakfast and started leveling the ground where the shed will go.  he came in and asked if I could come and help him.  Be still my heart . . . my sweet hubby needs me . . . .  Then he asked if I could move the stuff  in the middle . . . . the dried, sticky weeds, the rocks, a few bricks ( that came from, we have no idea where) and just nasty old stuff in general.  He took the nasty old weeds over to the burning pile and I raked the rest of it out of the way . . . Now I have to figure out how to get it out of here completely.  Wonder how much I can sneak into the dumpster each week.  .

Next I got to work on relabeling and organizing the drawers of some old lab cabinets that came from a school auction up in Holbrook, years ago.  I LOVE these cabinets.  The drawers have been used for so many purposes and always seem to be just the right size.

Right now, I am putting the tools, accessories and all the little gizmos that go with them in them, in a very organized manner, of course.  It will be so nice to be able to find things right off again. Even full, I will be able to move them into the shed using the hand truck.  After the dust settles, I will probably give the drawer fronts a good , but quick sanding and make them look cute, just because I am me and I do things like that.  I seem to thrive on whimsy these days . .  and Jon seems to get a good chuckle out of it, so why not.

We went down to get the replacement tire for Jon.   He had a front tire explode (not an exaggeration) on his way home Friday.   It blew rubber all over the place.  As we were driving  home, he called my attention to the slight waggle in the steering wheel.  It made him wonder if the other front one had a problem.  Sure enough, there was a bulge in it so he will be picking up a new replacement.

I am so thankful he was blessed with safety last week.  It was tires doing this that has caused more than one roll-over and death.  When the truck was driving funny, he was driving slowly to try and get to the next rest area, no such luck, but it kept him safe.

Marsha came over right after lunch so we could look everything over that the two of us have for decorating for her daughter's wedding in 40 days.  It was fun to show her all progress that we had been making and it hit me that there are more little details all over that need to be finished to finish all of the projects.  So tomorrow, that will be my project.

We came up with some fun, but simple ideas for Larissa's reception.  It will be pretty fun to put it all together.

I snuck out and took some pictures of my cute little flowers.  Is this a great world or what?  Color every where.   I do love to watch them grow.
First blooms since transplanting.

I just had to buy more space for pictures on my blog.  Time to get it printed, huh?  trust me, I have some great flowers out there and they give me a lift when I go and "stroll amongst them".  Can hardly wait until I need to dead head them every morning!

In the meantime, I guess I will go and spray the weeds . .  again . .  only rain we have had and it was the day I sprayed, of course.

Steroids or glandular,
which do you think?
Baby bottle brush
Sunny Gazania, love these.

Love my little shoots that grow every day!

We didn't get to plant any flowers yesterday...we were sad. I'm going to try again on Wednesday! We need the color by our door. Flowers are a wonderful thing to be greeted by each morning when I leave, and each night when I come home. I Love them!
