A Great Busy Day

At 3:00 am this morning I gave up and got out of bed (wrote this last night close to midnight while finishing up the day). Worked on my unfinished project, AKA bombing out the family room and reclaiming it for family use.  Spring has sprung, it is in starts and stops, but progress will be realized!!! Jon & I got to enjoy all of our grand kids at one time.  It was a good way to spend part of a hot Saturday.   Then it was lay down for an hour of z-z-z-z's. to make it through the day.

Mariah, Brianna and I got to visit while the kids played and got some catching up done.  Gabriel was just " a little grumpy" from lack of sleep at the Father's & Sons camp out, so that was interesting.   He thinks of this as his "zone out/ one on one place", which is fine, but it makes it hard for him when it is time to share with other kids.

Then I found that Gra'Nanny has qjuite the little helper in the kitchen!   Arianna helped me wash the tomatoes and then carefully set the table.  Garrett "pitched in" while Tati supervised.  The table turned out a lovely arrangement that kept us jumping and down through most of lunch  ;^)   Guess some of both us need to practise counting a little more.

Then it was time to whip up a couple of pans of cookies and off to the closing social for the University 1st Ward.  It was fun seeing the kids when we could visit for awhile.  They are a bunch of great kids and it has been a pleasure rubbing elbows with them this school year.  Quite a few are graduating and going on, so  that may have been the last time I see some of them.  I am subbing for Mariah tomorrow in the home ward, so I will miss them tomorrow at church.
