Whisperings . . .

A young friend, Maryn bore her testimony on Sunday, sharing some experiences of listening to the Spirit.  It has had me thinking ever since, in spite of a very busy, frantic day yesterday.

How many times a day do we, (me in particular) have little inklings, as I call them.  Years ago, I was taught that if you get an idea to do something that you don't expect & it is good, to consider that it is the Spirit guiding us.  When that is in the front of my mind, I seem to get so many little thoughts that flit through my mind that lead me to a good experience, to someone who needs a helping hand or someone who needs a listening ear.  So simple and yet so easy to miss.  

Then Lance shared some thoughts that also have me thinking.  Her talked a lot about the Savior.  The phrase that he used that really caught my attention was," After all He did for us, all He asks is that we get to know Him better".  As I thought about that, I came to the conclusion that if we truly knew Him, we would follow Him more and act as we have seen Him act.  How could we not follow His example if we truly knew Him as we should.  Made me glad that I had made some decisions lately to learn know Him better and act upon what I learn.

Isn't it wonderful to know that the "youth" of today are learning and even teaching through their example and thoughts?  Makes life look better and show that there is hope in this poor tired old world.
