The Good , The Bad and The Ugly

So much excitement! . . .  NOT!  . . .  well, maybe some.

How do you like the new planter in my front yard?  Good thing I don't live where there is a HOA, isn't it?

I knew I could get some flowers into my front yard, and it didn't take any room away from my flower/veggie beds!   If anyone needs a beautiful landscaping design, let me know.  I'll hook
you up with my son-in-law!  I'M KIDDING, he does do really beautiful designs, at least that is what I hear from his customers and you can tell by the kids' front yard at the right!

He is also a good sport about helping with these kind of bad jokes when I need his talents and software.  It is kind of cute, isn't it .
. . though not as cute as the old jeep in the back yard was with it's makeover.

You can now get to our front door.  Jon got into the dash/ steering column and figured out how to change the gear so that we could roll the truck up a couple of feet.  Isn't it funny how wonderful some thing so simple can be?  I have made an appointment to have the thing fixed.  the gear shift is being moved to the floor instead of replacing the doo-hicky in the steering column.  It will cost no more, be made out of steel instead of "pot metal" (zinc stuff they make cheap toys out of), and that is just cool to have it on the floor.   Hope that third one is a charm!

Speaking of three, look what I got up to this morning,
drip . . . drip . . . drip.  That would be a joint in our plumbing,
made of, you got it, blue polybultolene!  Stephen was a good sport and climbed up into the attic to check it out.  I guess I am pretty lucky.  I know more than one person who has come home to water pouring out the front door or were gone on vacation when it happened.

That make three crummy things,
we shouldn't have any more, right?

glad you have such talented men in your life to help you out. my washing machine broke and i asked tom to fix it for me and he just kind of got a blank stare on his face. so now i have to ask my dad without offending tom.

I love the new giant planter in your yard. Pretty clever. It at least gives beauty and life to something that otherwise could be a sore you can't get rid of. I think you should keep it. :)

Yuck! Good luck with the water leak. We've had our share of water (and other things) leaking out of all sorts of places in the apartments we've lived in. I feel your pain. Hang in there...some good things should come your way soon. :)
