Baby Steps Can Stumble!

It took me at least 30 minutes to get the first paver in the ground to finish the curve outline, it's the partial one touching the concrete, not even a full 12 "  there were a few small roots that I had to cut through, but no big deal.

Then I started down the path across the front of the house. Found more roots . . .  getting bigger  . . .  bigger . . .  hummmm should I worry?

Called Silverbell Nursery and asked them if I would harm the tree if I cut off all the roots across the whole north side of it.  He laughed and said, "Well, it wouldn't like it!"  So after discussing it, I decided that I get to cut all the pavers in half so that I don't have to put them so far down, then drive in rebar to hold them up.  It may be easier for digging and since I Have a new "toy" AKA "bigger hammer", the rebar won't be hard either.

Stephen was such a good sport.  He came over and let me give him details on my plans so that he could warn me about any problems that I would be creating for myself.  then he went home and drew up the whole idea on his computer.    These designs arrived
 last night into my
 email.

Wow how energetic you are! I remember not too long ago spending at least 8 hours every day working in my yard and now I could give a ding dang dong! In other words I don't want to do anything anymore. Got tired of hubby complaining about everything I did then the great flee invasion hit and I just quit. I look out at what used to be my BEAUTIFL yard and really don't care. What happened to me? Oh well a lot more things to worry about I guess.

Your home is looking great and I'm proud of you finishing those projects I know how they can pile up and just become overwhelming.
