Life Is as Good As We make It

Jon & I went to see the little traveling Titanic Museum this evening.  We were turned back as we drove into the parking  because they knew that they would have to close before we got up to actually see the exhibits.  So we went to Cold Stone.  Dinner was in reverse tonight.  We enjoyed the treat, provided by Rob and Bri last Christmas's gift card. Next we went to the Maskey's to see how Mariah was doing with Stephen at the home show all day, Garrett came home with us for the night.  It is only his second night staying with us solo.  He didn't sound too excited about it when mama got him out of the tub, but came in all ready to go after a little persuasive magic on her part.

I just read him three little books, of his choice, and then snuggled him to sleep.  He is such a sweet little guy.  I am glad that he is getting to the point that he thinks it is a treat to come to Nanny's and Papa's house for an overnighter.  It gives Gabriel some special time with his parents and Garrett special time with us.

With all that is going on, I am not sure where we will be in the future.  I am treasuring every moment with my kids and grandkids for now.  I know that with all that we have available, we will be able to stay in touch and stay close as a family, even if we get scattered.

I'm so thankful for the blessings that we enjoy through the gospel.  I am so thankful for the ordinances in the temple and that we can become a "forever family".  The lean years that are upon us, can be a blessing.  Now we will all have the opportunity to find out how to have real fun, make real memories, the kind that will give us those remember when moments.  The kind that come about when we talk, listen, and interact with one another.  The kind that help us to really get to know each other and love, respect and appreciate the differences, similarities, and weirdnesses that we share because we are a family.
