When he got there, safely, he called and I took the trickle charger down to hook it up the rest of the night. Someone, had "accidentally" left a power cord outside next to where he parks so he had access to a way to have the car ready to take on down to the fleet maintenance this morning!
It isn't fun waiting for a call from hubby when you know he is on that insane freeway, maybe about to lose his power, lights and anyway to get out of the way of those #$$&&(@# truckers. I can say that, I was raised by one and even he told me that they weren't the "knights" of the road any more, in the late 70's. Many will still be helpful, but watch out for them when they are behind the wheel!
Anyway, that makes three cars giving us problems, sure hope the leak in the attic isn't the start of three bad things in the house!!!
On a happy note, I have two of the cutest little Itty Bitty tomatoes out front!!!
This spindly little guy is left over from my first attempt to do the upside down garden thing. It has just hung on while I sat around getting my ducks back in a row. It looks way better than it did on last week when I planted it, and hung on to the little tomato.
These are the first veggies I have planted since moving down from the
north AZ country, just to explain why I am a little excited about it. My last good garden up there produced 300# of tomatoes from 6 - 7 b
ushes, I hope to break that record this year. I had so much stuff that year I couldn't can it up fast enough! Then everyone around me started calling and inviting me to come pick in their gardens because they were through. I ended up with enough home canned veggies to have two pints per meal for nine months! Sure wish there was a picture of those beautiful shelves!
I had sourdough rolls rising when Jon called, though they got a little "light and fluffy" while I was gone, they turned out so good! I am getting my breadmaking hand back. Yeah!!! I used to make bread several times a week and now I need to make it for $$ reasons. It will also help the kids (Maskeys) save money since they have buy the stuff that is soy free. I can't believe what is costing now. Maybe it will help the other kids too. I love to make bread and sure can't eat as much as I like to bake . . . well I could "BUT" . . . do I need to?

Maybe all those bad that come in threes finally learned how to do multiplication. I always knew that at it's root math was evil. ;-)I think the truck turned out great...if I do say so myself. Oh, yeah this is Mariah, Stephen isn't patting himself on the back.
I have been catching up on my blog reading. I'm at Mandy's "helping" her out with the new baby. More like being a cheerleader because there is only so much you can do for a nursing mother. Anyway you guys have had the luck lately ha? I hope the run of bad luck stops with the leak in the house and doesn't find it's way into more problems. We've had to have our AC worked on twice and summer hasn't even begun yet! Really I'm just waiting for a gust of wind to take us out. Royal is recovering and starting to feel better. I haven't been much help to him other than give him a bed to sleep in.
Oh your tomato plant looks so cute! Love you guys!
