Family + Fun Friends and Stir Gently For a Fun Saturday!! part 1

The five twinkles in Papa's and Nanny's eyes. We sure count ourselves as very blessed every day . . . this was a fun day for both of us!!

This was such a cute idea! the kids loved playing in all the field corn. What kid wouldn't love it? Oh, I guess that would be Garrett. Stephen would toss him in and he would wiggle out and jump as fast as he could. Silly boy!

1. Now these are serious ice cream freezers! Sure would love to have one to take home! 2 -3. Riding out to the pumpkin field. They grow some serious pumpkins out there!

1. Brianna, girls and Gabriel riding out to the field. 2. The three biggest kids looking for just the right pumpkins. This year, they all had to carry what they picked out.. Talk about a saving program . . . but in the next year, that won't help with that little Tati. She can out carry all the older kids! 3. It was big deal to find just the right pumpkin for Lincoln's first year. For someone who won't eat much other than mama milk, he sure likes to gum everything!

1. Papa and Granny/ Nanny enjoying the gonga sunflowers. I didn't even seem to be reacting to them, would I be so lucky and not be allergic any more? I would love to plant some, but have avoided it due to hayfever Maybe next year ?!?!? 2. The Maskeys in the sunflowers 3. The young Huishes, minus Rob. I missed his being there looking for some ridiculous sized pumpkin to carve. Funny what memories become treasured when someone isn't there.

After all the corn swimming, seeing how much dust we could kick up in the field, I mean picking pumpkins in the field, we were all hungry and got to enjoy the picnic tables in the apple orchard. It was so nice and we all enjoyed the over cast day. Usually it is kind of hot when we go to pick pumpkins . . . . I know crazy for the middle of October.

Not fair cutting yourself out of the picture leaving me sitting there looking like a big dork. I was a fun day, we were still finding corn on Wednesday from crevices of clothes and dirty boys. :)Lincoln's perfect little first year pumpkin has already disappeared from the front porch...darn wildlife. ha ha

It was a fun day! And definitely beautiful weather...usually we are sweating and ready to go home by the time the first pumpkin has been picked. Sorry you had to leave early. Apple picking was nice this year too! :)

P.S. Rob hasn't been out to pick pumpkins with us since 2005. What you are remembering is ME looking for the huge pumpkin, at his request. lol. Just thought I'd set the record straight there. But if he is in town next year, he is coming out there with us!!! :)

Sharron you did a great job capturing the day. Arianna and Tatianna had so much to tell me when they got back on Monday. It looks like they all had a great time.
