The Music In My Head . . . . .

I had a funny experience when we were at the scope on Saturday. When we were out on a catwalk watching the mechanisms move, I heard the theme to 2001 Space Odyssey. It had been going through my head and I had to laugh when I realized that it was the man standing next to me that was actually humming it out loud. We laughed when we had been experiencing the same music at the sight we were enjoying. We really laughed when we found out that the other always had some music running through our heads and we both had a "song for every occasion".

This morning from Glenn Campbell's song, Leaving On A Jet Plane" is going through my head with different lyrics.

Well, my jars are packed and soon will be cool.
The weight has lifted, cause I listened to Him.
I went through the ads, and still have silence now.

I'm making shelves to hold them,
I want to walk and not trip now.
Oh now - - - , to rest my feet!

I know, weird, but I just can't help it. Ask any girls that I have gone to camp with :>D They either love me or hate me by the end of the week with all my humming!

Maybe this is what some would call a tender mercy. I have had a nagging in my mind and heart for so long. It is lifting, peace is taking it's place and I have a sense direction. I know what I need to do next and have arranged to take those steps.

Once again, I appreciate the Gospel and the understanding of how we can be blessed by listening to the Spirit and following the promptings we receive. It truly makes life so much easier to just listen and follow. Accomplishing temporal goals can release our hearts and minds for growing spiritually. Which reminds me of a statement made in SS class last Sunday, that planning for our families' needs is a spiritual commandment. It gave me a lot of food for thought. Are any of the commandments not spiritual? Don't think so!

I'm glad you feel you can now take the time to prepare places to store all that food! I'm sure it will be a blessing for the next chunk of time (or until it runs out!). I can't wait to be able to work from home so that I can also do these things! (And have a kitchen big enough to cook in, and a house with some storage opportunities!!!!)
