I had my little dollies, as I call my granddaughters, with me today. After picking them up at the school that my DIL teaches at, we ran by Lowe's on the way home. Looked at the flowers, stopped to smell them, literally, played in the fountains, picked out rat traps, yes, rat traps . . . another story, a good one, I am pretty ticked at my good hubby at the moment. On to Granny Nanny's house.
Poor Linc hadn't eaten breakfast. The girls had assured me that they were starving, even though they ate before they left home. Mom & Dad find their little morning tales pretty interesting. I, of course, find them hilarious!
So chop, chop on my part to supply what they needed to make their own special omelets. Called them over to make their own personalized omelets.
I added a half cup of the egg mixture, squeezed out the air, zipped them up and boiled them in a pot of water for 5-6 min. Take them out of the water, dump out onto a plate and enjoy. The kids thought it was pretty neat, it was, even in my eyes!
NOW, it was time to go and pick up the preschoolers. I went from little girls, in stereo, to five five and under. Four are telling Knock, Knock jokes . . . .all at once..None of them make any sense, some are feeling like they haven't had a chance, so it should be their turn. So they get a turn, and all we get is, "Knock, Knock . . . huh? There's supposed to be more?" Now not wanting to be left out, Linc is making himself heard, well heard, surprisingly over the din.
This is when I thought of Becca. a wonderful young woman who I really admire. Good grief, she has this every time she puts the key in the ignition. I have to wonder how often she has to do this before her husband comes home! I know there are times she takes her boys to preschool, etc. Hopefully, her youth is a help to her.
I thought back to when I babysat three preschoolers before Sarah was born. It didn't seem nearly as loud back then! I have to admit that I was kind of relieved when I got pregnant with Sarah and we decided that I should quit babysitting due to losing the last two babies.
Now that I have rested my feet, it's time to go empty the dishwasher, reload it, clear the table, mop the floor and get some sewing/mending done.

Yep, those kids can get pretty loud when you put them all together! :)
