Last year I had a lot of pictures of Gabriel and Arianna helping in my front yard gardens. If you recall, "helping Nanny plant" usually involved the water hose and then the watering cans after they made an appearance.
Today when Garrett and Lincoln came to visit, I asked Garrett if he would like to help me plant some flowers into some pots. I was quite specific in what we would be doing. Yeah! First can you read to me about Dinosaurs? So we read the book that Uncle Rob had when he was a little boy, back in the old days and went to plant flowers in pots . . . or whatever ;-D

Well, first you hit the water. When Nanny says that you can just use the hose, you point to the spout and assure her that this has hose. Garrett was positive that it would be just fine to coral his little brother in the family room and leave him there . . . we decided he could be the supervisor, right after he hit the bottle.

Linc would stand up, jabber at us, waving his cute little dimpled arms and then lay down with his bottle like he had given up on us. Tough lesson for such a little guy, no one ever listens when they can't understand a thing you're saying!
Then it was time to check out the volcano in Iceland. The videos of it were not anyway as heart stopping as some of Mount Etna!
Once Linc got out of his little prison, he just walked and walked in circles. He, like all the grandkids, love the circle that starts at the front door, goes through the kitchen, on to the dining room, back into the living room, past the front door and back to the kitchen. If it was outside, no grass would grow there, it would be a well worn track, race track,

Walking seems to really agree with the little guy, it wears him out and makes it easy to snuggle him to sleep. Daddy seems to always have the right touch, maybe it's the wide shoulders. I hear he is sleeping better at night, aaahhhh . . .

I love seeing what you are up to each day! You are such a good Nanny!
Arianna has grown since last year...in some ways I wish they would stop doing that! It's going by so fast.
