Whining Dogs

I have been running all day, since this morning.  In spite of the insane heat, I have just gone and gone and gone.  So I finally get home, my adorable, darling, sweet . . . . .  OK the two most awful little yappy dogs on earth, are jumping all over me, making me feel good all over.  They just keep whining, whining, and whining some more.  So annoying . . . . . then I realize, it's not them.  It's my very tired old feet barking, or they would if they had enough energy left.  They seem to be reduced to just whining.

I still have a couple of hours of prep work to be ready for my "campfire cooking" classes tomorrow at Girls' Camp.  I am so nervous . . .  . I know it will be so fun once I get up there, but for now all I have to say is, "Ya'll pray for me!"  I'm trying to mostly new stuff and have been wondering all day, "You crazy old lady, why don't you just stick with the tried and true . . . . . . .?"  Just kidding, what a bore that would be!!!

BTW  Did you know that German Chocolate Cake can be made in a dutch oven?  The topping is on the bottom and it's better than the normal ones, at least when I make them.  The "menu" also includes, omelet in a bag, chile stacks in a bag, Sweet & Sour Chicken Foil Dinner, Orange Spice Cake with cranberries (cooked in the orange rind), and maybe biscuits baked on top of the coleman stove.

Just a guess, I will have a ball with the camera tomorrow!!

How I picture myself camp cooking . . . . . . . .

How the girls view me . . . . . . .   Isn't this picture a crack up?
