Hope You and Yours Had a Happy Fourth of July!

Saturday I realized that we hadn't heard from the Littles.  So I was wondering if they had left town for the weekend . .  like any smart couple who had had enough heat!  About three hours later, here came a call from Mary.  When the dust had settled, our whole family except Sarah was there.  Pretty sweet time!

John and Mary have been dear friends who have been there since we moved her in 1992.  Those are the kinds of friends we should all have!

Five little monkeys, all in a row!

What do you think, maybe Lincoln doesn't like being collared by his big brother or some thing?

I love to catch moms being moms, go Moms, get that picture!!

Here is Mary and her two step grand daughters.  Kind of funny to think that Courtney is "mothering" kids that range form 14 to 18.  They do seem to be a very happy family.  I'm glad for all of them.  It was fun seeing how much the girls have changed.  Fun little gals!

Here's John looking through his telescope.  He does have fun little toys and all the little boys, big and small, LOVE them!!

Jon and Stephen in their favorite element . . .  nice and relaxed.

Little tiny Lincoln loved this big old dog.  Her back was barely lower than his head.  Maddie is a very sweet and patient old gal and gratefully not the licker my awful little critters are!  I missed it, but I hear that her tail packed a good wollop ;-) . . . right across L's head!

Arianna had fun meeting and making a new friend . . . . .

And so did Tati, Garrett and Gabriel as they played with Sage, Courtney's son.

Gabriel wanted to stay when his folks left, and of course Papa and Nanny are usually game for the adventure.  Mary was showing me a bunch of photos of their European trip a few weeks ago . . . . . if I didn't love those two so much, I might get a little envious . . . OK, I'm that, but I could be really green if I didn't love them so much!  I am so glad that digital cameras are around now.  Wow did they go to some unbelievable places!   Brought home what a wonderful diverse world we live in . . . . we truly live in luxury in this country!  Even Gabriel got all caught up in their adventure.

Long story, short (or whatever) . . .  here's the proof in the pudding that we had a wonderful evening!

How fun! We had a quiet weekend at home in the air conditioning. Record heat wave going on here right now.

I hadn't had a chance to look at the pictures with all 5 kids. Hilarious! Oh that Lincoln, and his brothers.:)
