This is morning after spending a couple of hours outside cleaning, raking, chopping, tree trimming, breathing dust, I decided to install a new kitchen hood.
My house is pure misery in the summer, especially the kitchen. I need to make several types of bread in prep for teaching on Saturday. I just couldn't stand the thought of all that heat in the kitchen. . . . .
1. One last look at the current condition . . . . .
2. Oh, there are a few wires to disconnect, yes I flipped the breaker . . . . . . . dig deep for that ground wire . . . . . . .
3. "O" marks the spot to cut a hole.
4. Couldn't get the saw in to cut the hole, so removed the whole cupboard. Did I mention the cupboards on either side was holding that cupboard up and together? You should see the rest of the kitchen and dining room. It needed help but now . . . YIKES!
5. So eleven hours later, this is what I have. What can I say? It's a gift . . . .
So it's off to the store to get little "L" brackets, longer wood screws to add a heavier bottom to the cupboard, and beginning again.
May I say, in a really lousy mood?!?!?!? Arrrggghhh!
