Pleating the skirt only took three pleatings and two attachments. Not bad.
Most, but not all of the extra flowers that were appliquéd to the bottom of the skirt held until I had the centers all beaded, then started peeling off like crazy. Whew, at least I didn't have to figure the placement from scratch.
The beading has been anything but boring. Clear against white with some sparkle is lots of fun! I can barely tell which way to hold the bead so that I can feed the needle through the bead. Fortunately, it is easy to tell when you hit the bulls eye.
I put the 4 mm beads on the skirt and planned to put the three mm ones on the sleeves and bodice. . . . . planned would be the operative word here . . . . . I put the rest of the 4mm ones on the sleeves (Sarah did one sleeve) and had to use one of the smaller ones to fill in . .. oops . . . it is so sweet and just perfect. . . . oh yeah . . . . . I was supposed to use those on the top . . . . .DRAT, DRAT, DOUBLE DRAT!!!
I took a picture to see if it would actually show up in there . . . . drat, drat, drat . . . it is indeed sweeter and more delicate.
So as soon as I eat a quick lunch and take a short nap to rest my eyes, it will be time to remove the larger beads and replace them with the smaller ones. . . but on the bright side, at least I don't have to figure the placement on these either!

I love it! So beautiful. You are very talented. I made a blanket for Olivia for Christmas (with some help from my mom). Blankets are kind of easy even. My point I guess is that the ability to sew, and do it well, is most definitely a talent one is blessed with. You being one of those people of course.
It looks beautiful. What a lucky little girl to have such a nice blessing dress.
She will look so beautiful in her blessing dress! Nicely done!
