I have had Lincoln over here since Thursday morning. Both mommy and Daddy were working so I had the three little ones over here. Gabriel was at school. Lincoln's little nose had been running like a sieve for awhile and the second eye was starting to get ooky, so later that day, we decided to have him stay over here to keep him from exposing Lynneah. The pulmonary Dr. said that she must not get sick. Any one know a monastery she be can parked at for the flu/cold season? Wish we could get a movie of what two full grown adults have to go through to get eye drops in his eyes. I t has to be a little hysterical to watch!

Linc sure has a lot going on in his little . . I mean big little head. I shared my Munch and Crunch with him. He has been a really picky eater lately, so even this was not tempting. It was however, very nice to arrange carefully on the couch next to Nanny. I moved a piece of his arrangement, and he jabbered at me as he moved it right back to the exact spot where he had put it. This kept him busy and in good humor for nearly an hour. In the middle of all this, I realized our family has another little "nester" I love to do it, Mariah has done it since she was very young and now, here goes Lincoln. And don't you dare disturb our little nests!!
Tati does something similar, only hers is usually more of a little vignette here, and there, and here . . and oh yes, there too! No doubt she will have a lovely home some day with lots of atmosphere and character!
Lincoln has wanted to be on my lap almost continuously. I have humored him most of the time. My poor behind has been growing and growing, I'm sure I can feel it happening from moment to moment. Yesterday, he came, took my hand and led me to the love seat, then climbed up next to me. After moving a pillow where he had been sitting, he plumped and fussed with it, moved here and there, pushed it against me harder and then plumped down on it after picking up his blanket and bottle again. After he shuffled his treasures a bit, he lifted his arm that was against mine and laid it up on my shoulder, snuggled in closer, laid his head on my shoulder and patted a couple of times with that chubby little hand of his. Talk about wrapping the ole gal around his pinkie!! After a few seconds, he looked up at me and smiled like, " I so have your number!" My ole heart was a total puddle.
Tonight, he was snuggled up again and when I squeezed him and kissed his cheek, he reached around my neck, pulled me closer and gave me a kiss on m cheek . . . . and then looked at me again, like "you are so easy Nanny!" He has such a devilish little smile, even when there is slime clear down to his lip.
A little later, miracle of miracles, Daisy came and started whining at us. She finally stepped carefully over Linc's lap and plopped down right across it! About half an hour later, Linc decided he was no longer fascinated with this wondrous phenomenon (one of the doggies laying on his lap and not running when he stroked them). He kept jabbering about Dai-ee off and looking at me like "take care of this lady!" He finally started kicking his legs and shoving her. She stood up, but still wouldn't get off. Climbing out from under her finally did the trick. I suppose a ten pound dog would get heavy on a little fellow's lap.
After looking at that big old arm of mine in this picture, I think I may have gone overboard when I bought a couple of BIG new sweat shirts in the men's dept. Now I know if I should take them up in a couple of places or not . . YES! Do men really have arms that big around? The sleeves hang down in the way a lot so I had been trying to decide, (sigh of relief, it is so nice to not have to make the decision). The ones that I was finally convinced should go away didn't have this problem, must have been from the women's dept. Did you know about the difference?
Guess I best be getting some extra rest tonight. I have been so careful to try not to catch Linc's bug. Taking all kinds of measures to protect myself.
He is definitely over the worst of it, just can't go to the nursery tomorrow with the cough that is hanging on and the nose stuff, even though it is not "colored" any more. There's a picture everyone wants!!

It sure is hard this time of year. Colds seem to get passed around everywhere you go. No fun at all!!!
