Oh the "Trials" of Life . . . . .

I am in such a good mood today.  Makes a soul feel a little insensitive with all the sorrow surrounding me after the shootings last week.  But it is a relief to feel this way in spite of the anger, sadness and frustration I feel over that happening to so many innocents (being all of the victims and their loved ones).

This morning is a reminder that no matter what happens, there is still good in the world and one doesn't have to look far to find it.  No matter how much chafe is blowing about us, the wheat is growing thick and strong.

Jon  and I taught the FHE lesson last night.  Talk about nerve wracking!  I hope we were able to convey the point we wanted to.  What a great bunch of kids!  There were way more there than I thought there would be with the football game that was on!  Then I slept like a baby for most of the night, a good thing.  That means I can clear my airways pretty quickly this morning, also a good thing.  Jon is off to the salt mines but I have lots to keep me busy and out of the bars (figuratively speaking, my mom used that term a lot for some reason) but we have had to talk and plan my week (:-D , which I like.

I am going to start eating right now if it KILLS me!  I am so tired of feeling like a slug.  You will probably see lots of the weird things I do to get more veggies back into my meals just because they are kind of funny and then I will feel a little "out there" and you will all know if I am doing it or not.  Bending over is not the most comfortable these days, not so good when it is time to be getting planting beds ready for my farming  plant assassination) this spring.  I still have the tires out back for planting and my fun project this year will be making a red neck garden look just a little pink.

I have to get right on it to get some bare root fruit trees, other than citrus, planted and then when I have a definite line settled, it will be time to put in a fence that grape vines can grow on.  I would love to create a pretty arbor in the middle of the fence, so hopefully the big arch I bought at a yard sale will go together for me for the vines to grow up as well as along the fence.

Breakfast this morning was chicken left over from the Dairman's fridge that had been shredded with BBQ Sauce in the crock pot. I added some saute'ed veggies (not nearly enough) and it rolled up in flour tortillas.

Pretty good, but more veggies will be added after Jon leaves.  He needs to be broken in gradually with some of my favorites so that he will not be miserable and it is easier to be a good sport about it.

Now we're talking!
